Let yourself be guided by the richness and diversity of cultural experiences that bring out all the excitement of the Quarter.

Chinatown

A large city block in the Ville-Marie borough, Montreal's Chinatown is bounded by Saint-Dominique Street to the East, René-Lévesque Boulevard to the North, Viger Street to the South, and Jeanne-Mance Street to the West. Its four corners are marked by large paifang (Chinese architectural gateways), no other Chinatown in Canada has as many. This lively area of the city was established in the early 1890s.

Old Montreal & the Old Port

Old Montreal offers a good overview of its history over the centuries, housing both the oldest and newest tourist attractions in the city. And, although the cobblestone streets preserve the memory of historical figures such as Jeanne Mance, Jacques Cartier and Maisonneuve, Old Montreal and the Old Port are neighbourhoods in constant evolution, among the most dynamic in the city.
