Irene McNeill is the Principal Race Officer (PRO) for Mobility Cup 2023.
Irene is an International Race Officer (IRO) and Race Management Instructor and has been associated with the Canadian race management program for over 30 years.
As the only female International Race Officer in Canada since 2012, Irene McNeill has been a ground breaking female race official. She has been the race officer for numerous World and Continental championships including the Pan-American Games held in Toronto in 2015.
Irene started her race management career after years of crewing on monohulls. She has experience conducting keelboat, dinghy, catamaran, skiff, large multihulls and windsurfing races. More recently Irene has started officiating at foiling events, which includes kiteboards, A-Cats and WASZPs. When not officiating Irene cruises with her husband Neil on their C&C 27.
Irene has considerable experience with able sail. She was the PRO for Mobility Cup 2011 held in Hamilton, Ontario. She has been a race management volunteer for many years with Clagett Sailing, a program for sailors living with disabilities and mobility issues based in Newport, Rhode Island.
Supporting Irene will be a qualified support team who have worked with her for many regattas.
