Mobility Cup 2020 Update March 17, 2020

In light of coronavirus we want to inform you that Mobility Cup 2020 is still in full force and moving forward; as it is over 5 months from now we feel that it is enough time for us all to regain stability.

The dates for Mobility Cup 2020 are August 30 to September 3rd. Sailors and Volunteer Registration is open and is fully refundable until August 1 if you choose to cancel. The hotel bookings can also be cancelled if you need to, at no charge.

We are working hard with plans to make your experience fantastic and fulfilling. Then we will enjoy the freedom of sailing and together we will laugh and rejoice as we play in the wind, water and waves.

In the meantime, we wanted to share with you an Irish blessing for St. Patrick's Day - “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
May you and your loved ones stay well and healthy.

Land Acknowledgement

Mobility Cup 2020 would like to acknowledge that the land on which our regatta will take place is located is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, the Métis, and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation. The territory was the subject of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy and the Ojibwe and allied nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

This territory is also covered by the Upper Canada Treaties.

Today, the meeting place of Toronto (from the Haudenosaunee word Tkaronto) is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to base our regatta in this territory.
