About the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club
The Vancouver Yacht Club was established in 1903, just seventeen years after the incorporation of the City of Vancouver. The Club’s first headquarters was a modest rented house at the foot of Thurlow Street in Coal Harbour, and its fleet proudly consisted of just eighteen yachts.
Today, the Club has grown to over 5,000 members, including social members, and continues to welcome new members. RVYC now boasts seven offshore stations and two home ports, all featuring beautiful, well-appointed marinas that reflect the Club’s rich maritime heritage and vibrant community.
